As part of the ongoing overhaul of the Luzira production plant of UBL. Svista was called in to provide heavy duty flooring solutions for selected areas. During the scheduled shut down of a production line, we were contracted to provide a long term solution to the walkway.
Due to the fast installation process, we were able to clear the failed epoxy system, repair the concrete in damaged areas and install a heavy duty high build polyurethane system. Safety markings were added to the floor in keeping with industrial stands.
When it comes to heavy-duty industrial flooring, Ucrete outperforms traditional epoxy flooring surfaces in both impact resistance from heavy traffic and ability to withstand thermal shock. This production line driveway is constantly exposed to forklift and human traffic and requires a clean working environment. This necessitates a heavy duty system.
Our Ucrete sytems are more water tolerant and slip resistant than epoxy systems making it ideal for the area.
Downtime: We were able to work within the companys scheduled plant shutdown, this enables the facility manager to have the facility back in operation as scheduled. Ucrete systems are quick setting and are operational within 4 hours of final coat installation and achieve full operational characteristics within 12 hours.
Our self levelling solution ensured a seamless finish and an easy cleanable surface guaranteed to be in service for long time.
